​BTG-Shawano Center


Elementary Group
-Discussion Nights: focus on a specific skill or concept that is necessary to function as an elementary-aged child (i.e. friendship, conflict resolution, boundaries, coping strategies, etc.) Discussions will incorporate visuals, group discussions, role-plays, and hands-on group activities
-Community Outings: focus on the areas of daily living skills, community involvement, skill-based learning, appropriate behavior in public, and exploration of leisure activities
-Swimming Nights: focus on physical activity, sensory integration, emotional and social growth, and water safety
-Arts & Crafts: focus on fine motor skills, sensory exploration, expression, confidence and independence, and encouraging social connection
-Social Skills Activities: focus on clear communication, understanding emotions, making and keeping friends, learning through play, boosting confidence and social norms.


Middle School Group

Adult Day Program
-Adult day service provides individualized functional and daily living skills programming to promote independence and community involvement. The program is run in-center in addition to a variety of community settings to provide hands-on experience with daily living skills, job readiness, and leisure skills.
